About the Role
The Intern’s responsibilities will vary slightly based on project schedule and scope, but will typically involve aiding the management of:
Onsite engineering
General documentation control
Material tracking mechanisms and logs : namely concrete, aggregate, and longer lead items such as cable, rebar, piles, modules, trackers, etc.
Progress and quantity tracking mechanisms and logs
Attend Plan Of the Day (POD) meetings, maintaining meeting notes, and working with the Field PE(s) to distribute the POD document to project personnel daily
Update and issue weekly progress tracking maps
Maintain Daily Status Tracker: a document recording dates of all quantities installed. The schedule will be updated and maintained using this and the POD documents.
Provide corporate Scheduler with quantity completion as required to support the development and updating of 3 week lookahead, full, and summary schedule files.
Work with Field PE(s) to accurately enter weekly quantities completed into the project management software, Viewpoint.
Ensure Superintendents and Construction Manager have most recent revisions of required issued for construction (IFC) drawings.
Review drawing submittal and transmittal requirements managing these processes, including acquiring process documentation, sending documentation to an engineering firm and client, tracking the response process, and updating the corresponding transmittal or submittal log
Submit Requests for Information (RFI) to engineering firms and client as required, track the response process, and update the RFI log
Complete Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) inspections, maintaining inspection logs, and notifying Superintendents of any non conformance areas
Prepare meeting agendas and notes for all weekly and monthly client and engineering meetings
Compile, submit, and save Wind and/or Weather Day notifications and maintain associated log(s)
Take progress pictures and post to document control platform
Execute duties as required to support the successful execution of the project
Skills
The PE Intern is expected to be exhibit the following skills prior to being hired:
Microsoft Office programs.
Efficient written and verbal communication.
Technical writing proficiency.

Requirements
EDUCATION
Working on Bachelors Degree
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without company sponsorship
Pursuing Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar Engineering field preferred

Initial industry introduction and training to be provided prior to on site arrival, with training to continue on site through interactions with site personnel
