John V. Major

John attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis he began working as a Carpenter and Superintendent in 1977 at Major & Sons Construction, the company his father founded in 1957.

In 1994 John renamed the company MSI Construction and became the President after his father Irvin’s retirement. John has been involved with all aspects of the construction process and oversees all construction operations.

John is also active in the community, serving as Vermillion County Surveyor for 16 years from 1989-2004, Area Planning Commission, and Board of Zoning Appeals.
